Your data and your rights.
You keep control over your own data. This page explains the rights you have here, and how to exercise them in HeyProf, no long form, no meeting, no catch.
When you use HeyProf, it is Zelb Labs LTDA that processes your data, in the role of controller. Zelb Labs is a Brazilian company and works under Brazil's data protection law, the LGPD (art. 5, VI), and where the law in your own country gives you more, that applies too. This page is the practical summary of what it all means for you.
Your rights
At any time and at no cost, you may:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct incomplete or outdated data.
- Export your data in a readable format (portability).
- Delete your account and everything in it.
- Know who we share your data with (see sub-processors).
- Revoke consent for any processing that depends on it.
- File a complaint with the data protection authority where you live, or with Brazil's ANPD, if you believe something is wrong.
How to exercise them, in practice:
• Access and portability: go to the dashboard at heyprof.ai/acesso and click "Export everything". You receive a JSON file with everything we have.
• Deletion: send delete my data on HeyProf's WhatsApp. Confirmation appears in seconds and the deletion is permanent, with no "hidden" retention, beyond what the law requires (invoices, for 5 years).
• Other requests: email [email protected]. Response within 5 business days.
Legal bases we use
Every processing activity needs a legal basis. Under the law we work with, ours are:
- Performance of a contract (art. 7, V): to generate plans, send PDFs, process payment. Without this data, the product cannot function.
- Compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II): to issue invoices and retain them for the period required by Brazilian tax law.
- Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX): to calibrate plan quality with (anonymized) feedback and for security (detecting abuse). Always with a balancing assessment.
- Consent (art. 7, I): only for marketing communications, such as the weekly planning reminder (which already adapts to your rhythm and eases off if you don't reply). You can revoke it whenever you like: just ask us to pause the reminders on WhatsApp or at [email protected].
Data about minors
HeyProf is a tool for adult teachers. There is no registration or interface for students, and we do not collect individual data about children or adolescents (not names, tax IDs, photos, grades, or attendance). The system works with the aggregate class profile.
If you, as a teacher, freely share in chat information that identifies a specific student (e.g., "Pedro from 4B…"), we ask you to avoid this, that data is unnecessary and we do not need it to help you.
Your conversations and AI training
Nothing that passes through HeyProf becomes training data for an AI model. Contracts with our model providers require that submitted content be excluded from any training pipeline. Your plans and your conversations are yours.
International transfers
The main servers are located in Brazil. Some AI model and infrastructure providers may process data in other countries (USA, Europe) under standard contractual clauses and at a protection level recognised by Brazil's data protection authority. If there is a relevant change, we update this page beforehand.

Security incidents
If an incident affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant data protection authority within 72 hours of discovery, with what happened, what we are doing about it, and what you can do. Full transparency.
