About the product
Does it really work just through WhatsApp?
Yes. You don't need to open tabs on your computer or download any apps. Your classes, plan creation, adjustments, and conversation: everything happens via message on WhatsApp. The website exists to manage your subscription, revisit your plans whenever you want and, in the school plan, for coordination to follow the team.
Which grades do you cover?
The early years, primary and secondary, from the first year of school to the last, adult education included. Your official curriculum, carefully registered, in every stage. In the early years the plan is organised by areas of learning instead of subjects, which is how that stage works.
Does it work for any subject?
Yes. Language, Maths, Science, History, Geography, a foreign language, Art, PE, Computing, Philosophy, Sociology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. The curriculum check is done with your specific subject and year in mind. We also support interdisciplinary projects.
Does it work with my state's curriculum or my school's methodology?
Yes. Beyond the official curriculum, you tell HeyProf which curriculum or approach your class follows and it aligns the plans to it: your state or board curriculum, Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, constructivism, project-based learning, a focus on literacy. Just write it, in your own words, in “update class” on WhatsApp. At schools, coordination sets the pedagogical line once and every plan the team creates is born with the school's identity.
Can the generated plan actually be used in class?
It's an excellent support tool, but you're the heart of the lesson. We deliver a complete script with time control, the activities described step by step, inclusion tips, and answer key. The print-ready sheets (exercises, games, assessments) you ask for separately, whenever you want. You adjust it to your students' reality. The more you evaluate the plans, the more they reflect your style.
Can I request slides or images?
Slides, not yet. Images, yes: the plan already comes with pedagogical illustrations (diagrams and drawings in the material's style) when they help explain the content. Slides remain out of focus: we'd rather do one thing very well than several halfway.
Can I ask pedagogy questions to the AI?
Yes. Beyond generating plans, you can chat with the AI about methodology, inclusion, curriculum and pedagogy. The AI responds in the same chat, as if talking with a colleague educator. Chat is included in every plan (fair use) and never deducts planning.
Is there a real human educator?
Yes, and it comes with the subscription. An educator trained in psychopedagogy responds directly on WhatsApp during business hours. A colleague responds in the same chat where the AI responded before. Outside business hours, we respond by the next business day.
How does billing work?
You subscribe and use the full HeyProf, with everything unlocked: unlimited planning, every printable material and an educational specialist in the chat. Cancel renewal whenever you like, right in the chat.
How do I redo or adjust a plan I already received?
Just reply in the chat: redo Tuesday, redo just the exercises, swap only the context, adapt for ADHD, simplify activity 3. You can redo the entire plan or just one section. The rest of the plan you've already approved stays intact. Adjustments are unlimited (fair use).
I got the plan and one part wasn't clear. Can I ask about it?
You can, in the same chat and in your own words: what is this support material?, how do I run activity 2?, why this curriculum objective?. The answer is read from your plan, not from the internet, and you never have to quote the PDF or paste the excerpt. It works for the printable activities and materials you asked for too. Included in every plan, under the same fair use as the chat.
Can I plan more than one week at a time?
You can. Ask for a fortnight, a month or a term and HeyProf keeps the whole request. Delivery is one week at a time, and the next one arrives with a tap: on the weekly reminder or on the next plan's confirmation. The PDF cover says which week of the set it is. On the monthly plan a request runs up to 4 weeks; on the annual one, up to 20.
I don't teach that class every day.
Then the week only comes out on the days that are yours. When you ask for the week, one of the options is to plan only the days you teach that class: you answer which ones (only Tuesday and Thursday) and the rest stays out. From the second week on, the card already carries the days last week used, and the whole week is still one tap away.
The plan is too long for my routine. Can I get a leaner one?
You can. The format is your choice, per class, on any subscription plan: complete (every section, detailed) or compact, 3 to 4 pages with general and specific objectives, the curriculum objectives next to each one, methodology, activities, assessment and resources. It comes to 3 or 4 pages instead of 17, because every support piece is dropped (student worksheet, answer key, quiz, homework, family note). Printable exercises and materials stay available separately, whenever you ask. It is the same lesson, written for someone who already knows how to teach: a teacher with five classes uses the plan as a pocket script, not as study material. To switch, ask for a shorter plan in the chat or send update class and pick Plan format. It applies from your next plans on, and you can go back to complete whenever you want.
My school has its own lesson plan template.
Send the fields it requires and they become that class's standing guideline: every plan from then on covers them, and the plan in focus is redone right away so you can see it. And the other half, said plainly: the document still comes out in HeyProf's format, with HeyProf's sections, because those are fixed. What changes is the content.
My lesson runs two hours. Does the plan fit?
It does. HeyProf asks once how long that class's lesson is (50 minutes, 1h40 or whatever number you send) and remembers it: from then on the schedule is sized to your real period, with the four moments of the lesson stretched or shrunk to fit. Skip the question and the plan stays on the 45 to 50 minute default, and we do not ask again.
Can I send audio or a photo of the textbook instead of typing?
Yes, both. Audio: send from WhatsApp, we transcribe it, show you the transcript to verify, and continue as if you had typed. Photo: send a page from the textbook or activity, we read the content (computer vision) and use it as the basis for the plan. For privacy, we refuse photos considered sensitive (faces, names, or student badges, for example). Voice notes and photos are included in the subscription at no extra charge.
Can it grade activities from a photo?
It can diagnose, which is more useful. You photograph the answered activities and HeyProf compares them against the plan's answer key, returning the class map: where most got it right, where they got stuck and what's worth revisiting next lesson. We never grade or name a student: the reading is always collective.
Can I send the school's material as a PDF or Word file? new
Yes. Forward the school's workbook, teaching sequence, or project as a PDF or DOCX and we do three things in the same chat: summarize the material, answer questions about it, and generate the lesson plan aligned with what the school asked for. You can also paste a page link: we open it, read the text and work from it. When the topic needs a fact we may not know (a recent event, a book you name, a local figure), we look up real sources before writing and print them in the PDF.
Where does the information in the plan come from?
From your country's official curriculum, from what you told us about the class and, when the topic calls for it, from the web. If the subject needs a recent fact, a named work or a local figure, HeyProf searches real sources before writing and prints the sources consulted at the end of the document. You can also paste a link in the chat: the page is opened and read like a document, and the lesson is written on it. A sensitive theme comes with a note to review it first.
Does the system remember what I've already taught?
Yes. HeyProf tracks the curriculum objectives you have already covered in each class and suggests the next steps. It works like an automatic class journal, always aligned with the curriculum. Need the official text? Ask for record for the class journal and paste it in; a how am I doing this term? shows what the class has not covered yet. Every stage registered.
Do you flag the dates the school celebrates?
The ones coming up, yes. When a date your school marks falls in the next two weeks, the weekly reminder names it and one tap asks for the lesson on that theme. Each date is offered once only, it enters as the theme of the lesson rather than as the day it is taught, and a sensitive theme comes with a note to review it first.
What about the lesson the class didn't get?
It comes back. When you answer in the feedback that only a few students understood, HeyProf files that away and, in the next weekly reminder, offers to redo that lesson another way, using what you wrote about what went wrong. It rides the reminder that was already going out (never an extra message), one at a time, and never a lesson you already redid. It comes alongside the reminder.
Are plans saved? Can I reuse them?
They are, year after year. Send reapply that fractions plan that worked and we search your history (even archived classes), show the options and generate a fresh version adapted to your current class, carrying the feedback you gave back then.
My class has a wide range of levels. Do the plans help?
Yes. Mark mixed levels in the class (under "update class" on WhatsApp) and the plans will deliver exercises in three parallel versions: ★ Basic, ★★ Medium, and ★★★ Challenge (same vocabulary used in Activities). Same concept, three difficulty levels, aligned line by line, and you distribute in class according to each student.
I teach at a special education school (like APAE). Do you support that?
We do, as its own modality. Tell us during signup (or under "update class") that the class is a special education one, describe the students' profile and the level the class works at, and everything adjusts: plans come out short and concrete, with predictable routines and visual support, worksheets keep games and hands-on material at any year, and curriculum objectives appear as an adapted reference. It covers special education schools, special classes and resource rooms, including adult education and the early years.
Do the plans include visual components in the PDF?
Yes. The PDF includes components like timelines, guidance cards, quizzes, and visual charts that make the lesson more dynamic.
Does the plan come with a book suggestion?
Yes, when there's curated reading aligned with the topic. We suggest pedagogy classics like Magda Soares in literacy, Kátia Smole in math, John Hattie in teaching, Paulo Freire, Vygotsky, and others, at no extra cost, directly in the plan PDF. In the Schools plan, coordination can plug in the school library's collection: suggestions will then come from the school's own list, not the general catalog.
Can I generate activities and tests to print, outside the plan?
Yes. Just ask in the chat: fractions worksheet, photosynthesis mind map, support material on the French Revolution. The AI builds from the topic and class, with a teacher's answer key, in A4 PDF ready to print. And your way: ask for 20 easy questions or multiple choice only, and adjust after it arrives (now harder). You can even paste a text into the chat (a poem, a book excerpt) and ask for the activity built on top of it, request a graded activity with points per question, or questions organized by assessment descriptors. The sheet can carry a real drawing created for your topic: a coloring activity, figures to cut out and assemble, a diagram to label, all in clean line art that photocopies perfectly. In the first two years of school the sheet prints in block capitals, with short verb-first instructions and figures big enough to count after photocopying; anything she cuts out gets a sheet of its own, so the scissors never take a question with them. And there is the colouring page, the only one that asks nothing: a full page of line art to colour. Ask by the notebook name (a cover for the homework notebook) and that name becomes its title; ask for one to colour about the farm and it comes out about the farm. Available up to the end of primary. Worksheets, mind maps, support materials, the ready-made test and the reinforcement track (2-3 weeks, with need-based adaptations) all come with the subscription.
What is the adapted version?
When the class has a registered inclusion profile (ADHD, dyslexia, ASD), a worksheet can come out in two versions at once: the standard and an adapted one with fewer items, short and direct instructions, larger font and more space. No student names appear on the sheet.
Do you write a student progress report?
Yes, in a specific way. We hold no student data, so the AI does not observe the child for you: you do. Describe what you see in one sentence and get a student progress report as text, in the register a school expects. It arrives as text so you can copy it into your own document and fill in [STUDENT NAME] on your own computer. The name never passes through us.
Can you write an individual learning support plan?
Yes. The individual learning support plan, also used for resource-room support, includes identification, learning characterisation, social aspects, a work plan, curricular adaptations, and general and specific objectives. You provide what you observe, and the identification fields stay deliberately blank: [STUDENT NAME], birth date, diagnosis. You complete them on your own device, and none of it passes through here. Review the draft against your school's requirements.
Can I see my plans on a computer?
You can. Open heyprof.ai, tap Sign in and use the same WhatsApp number, which receives the access code. There you find the plans already generated, the class council reports and your account. Asking for a plan and receiving it stays in WhatsApp, which is where HeyProf lives.
Payment and cancellation
Is there a free trial?
There is no free month right now. The subscription includes a 7-day guarantee: if you do not like it, ask for a refund within that window. You can also cancel renewal on WhatsApp.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit or debit card, all secure through our payment partner. Billing renews automatically and you can cancel anytime, right on WhatsApp.
How do I cancel?
Through the website (Cancel button) or by sending 'cancel' on WhatsApp. No annoying retention meetings, no one trying to talk you out of it. Cancel whenever you want.
What if I use a lot? Any catch in the unlimited?
No catch. You plan as much as you need: fair use exists only to stop bots and resale, and no real teaching routine comes anywhere near it.
Do review reports deduct from my allowance?
No. Review reports have their own quota: 2 per month on the subscription, and unlimited on Schools.
Privacy and security
Do you store student data?
No. Never. We don't store names, IDs, photos, or grades. We only need the general class profile (number of students, how many inclusion students, grade). The focus is preparing the lesson, and privacy is taken very seriously.
Are my lessons used to train AI systems?
No. Your conversations and plans are yours. We require technology providers to ensure nothing that passes through here is used for training.
How does curriculum validation work?
Every plan goes through automatic safety and curriculum-coherence checks. Before using it in class, review whether the activities and references fit your class. If you need help, ask for pedagogical support on WhatsApp.
Can I access my data?
Of course. On the website there's an 'Export everything' button. If you want to leave and delete your history, just send 'delete my data' on WhatsApp. Simple, respectful, and with nothing kept back.
Schools
I teach at a school. Do I have to wait for the school to subscribe?
No, and this is the most common mix-up. The Schools plan is when the school subscribes for the whole team and coordination hands invite codes to its teachers. If your school hasn't subscribed yet, there is no code for you to ask for: you subscribe on your own and use it with your classes today. When your school joins, you just link your account to it, keeping everything you already created. Want to bring HeyProf to your school? Talk to us or send this link to your coordination.
How does the school contracting process work?
Coordination completes the registration and receives invite codes. They send these invites to teachers (by email or WhatsApp). The teacher accepts and starts chatting with HeyProf. Within days, everyone is planning.
Can coordination see the team's plans?
Yes. Coordination has a manager profile to follow along, suggest improvements, and unify the school's language. Our advice: use it for pedagogical support, not as an oversight tool.
How much does it cost for the entire school?
Pricing is custom because it depends on team size and support profile. Message us and we'll make a transparent proposal, without dragging you into long meetings.
Do teachers receive reminders to plan?
Yes. HeyProf sends smart WhatsApp notifications: a friendly reminder to plan the week, on the day and time each teacher usually gets organized. If the week is already planned, it stays quiet. And when a teacher told us only a few students understood a lesson, that same reminder offers to redo it another way. Nobody needs to remember to open anything.
